Minimum Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in healthcare scheduling or a related administrative role.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and scheduling software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience working in a hospital or clinical environment within the Health Care and Social Assistance industry.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare billing processes.
- Certification in medical scheduling or healthcare administration.
- Demonstrated ability to use data analytics tools to improve scheduling efficiency.
- Bilingual skills, particularly in Spanish, to support diverse patient populations.
Responsibilities:- Coordinate and schedule patient appointments, procedures, and follow-ups in accordance with clinical guidelines and patient needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and administrative teams to confirm appointments and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Maintain and update scheduling databases and electronic health records to ensure accuracy and compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Monitor appointment availability and adjust schedules proactively to optimize resource utilization and reduce patient wait times.
- Assist in training and supporting junior scheduling staff and contribute to process improvement initiatives within the scheduling department.
