This is a high-impact role working directly with companies ranging from early-stage tech to established operators on protecting, monetizing, and leveraging intellectual property in real-world business contexts. You’ll be collaborating across corporate, litigation, and regulatory teams to deliver practical, forward-thinking solutions to clients navigating complex commercial and technology-driven issues.

Job Details- 5+ years of experience in intellectual property and/or technology law
- Active Illinois bar license
- Experience with IP counseling, transactions, or litigation support
- Strong understanding of how IP ties into business strategy and growth
- Ability to operate in a client-facing, advisory-heavy environment
***Bonus: technical background (CS, EE, life sciences, etc.) or experience with complex technologies
- Advise clients on IP strategy, protection, and commercialization
- Handle patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret matters
- Draft and negotiate IP licensing and technology agreements
- Support IP-related transactions (M&A, financing, due diligence)
- Manage or assist with IP disputes and enforcement strategy
- Counsel on digital, data, and emerging technology issues, including e-commerce and evolving regulatory considerations
