Job DetailsKey Responsibilities:
- Manage family law cases from initial consultation through resolution.
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements.
- Represent clients in court appearances, hearings, mediations, and trials.
- Provide clients with clear, practical legal advice while setting realistic expectations.
- Conduct legal research and prepare case strategies in collaboration with senior attorneys.
- Negotiate settlements in the best interest of clients.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and ensure deadlines are met.
- Contribute to the firm’s reputation through professionalism and community engagement.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
- 2+ years of family law or related litigation experience preferred.
- Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases with attention to detail and organization.
- Compassionate, client-focused approach with excellent interpersonal skills.
